Overview

UKWT is a fully qualified fire alarm installer. We engineer, install, specify and maintain Fire Detection and Safety equipment. We have a wide range of suppliers and manufacturers at our disposal to ensure that all of your fire detection needs are met to the highest possible standards

All systems are installed to relevant local, British and European standards with the safety of our clients being the highest priority.

Latest technology

The new generation of systems provided by UKWT have many varied features. These include on-line printouts, P.C. Interfaces, exact detector reporting (as opposed to "Zone" reporting which only gives a general indication to the location of a fire), separate detector isolation (enabling the client to omit one detector as opposed to an entire "Zone"), exact detector fault indication, access control integration to allow the automatic opening of access controlled doors, barriers etc in the event of an activation) and much more.

Voice Evacuation integration

UKWT has found through studies that many fire alarms in noisy commercial premises are initially ignored by the workforce. This is because they cannot differentiate between the sound of the Fire Sirens and the sound of various other "process" alarms that occur in an industrial climate.

By far the most useful addition to any fire system in a busy commercial environment is the integration into a dedicated Emergency Broadcast System. This type of system not only sounds the conventional alarm sounder, but will also broadcast a voice message over a tannoy system informing the work force that an evacuation is required. This can be especially useful on large multi occupancy sites where a staff member that is on the muster roll of a building where an evacuation has occurred may be in another building at the time. The voice system would direct them to report to there muster point so that an accurate staff roll call could be made.
